What’s Happening at Wattle and Daub Books
Winter has brought illness and grief to a few of us here at Wattle and Daub Books, slowing down projects and putting one on hold. Bee Smith’s A Brigit Breviary will be a tad late coming out, and the Brigit poetry anthology, Strong and Radiating Sun: a book of prayers to Brigit, Goddess and Saint, will have to wait until its editor is well enough to proceed.
Meanwhile, Casey and Eileen will be reading next week at Vancouver Public Library, Central Branch, along with other authors featured in the Escape Clause Speculative Fiction Anthology. (Monday January 18, 7:30 pm-9:00 pm. Free. Alma VanDusen & Peter Kaye Rooms, Lower Level Central Library. 350 West Georgia Street.) Please join us there. Bee will be reading from A Brigit Breviary at the An Táin Theatre, Dundalk, Co. Louth, Ireland at 7:30 pm on Sunday, 31 January, as part of the Brat Bhríde Festival. Addena, meanwhile, is packing to go on a two month “writing” holiday in Jamaica (read: “sitting on a beach and visiting friends”).
You can find us at Facebook and Twitter. See the bottom of this page for our Twitter feed for the latest updates.
May all your reading bring you joy.
